Covid pandemic health and safety policy/Up Hotel Budapest
Guests’ and staff’ safety is the number one priority for our hotel, therefore we implemented protocols in response to Covid. This protocol also meets the requirements of local public health authorities.
Management responsibility
- Staff has been trained on personal hygiene for prevention of virus spread
- Currently is not mandatory wearing PPE in Hungary, therefore it is optional, but suggested for our staff members
- Signage is displayed throughout the premise to remind guests and staff of good hygiene practice and physical distance
- Staff has been trained on procedures to follow, if they feel unwell (stay at home, seek medical assistance and return to work only after symptoms have disappeared)
Requirements for the guests
- Wearing masks is not mandatory, but suggested to wear in public area and in case of interacting with our staff members
- Keeping at safe distance of least 1,5 meters apart from others at all times, especially when in line or waiting
- Sanitize and wash your hands, as often as possible
- Please do not travel if you feel sick or have symptoms of Covid. If you become ill during your travel or stay, then please contact the front desk for medical assistance and we kindly ask you to stay in your room until medical help is received
Reception / Front desk
- The front desk staff are trained to provide guests detailed information on hygiene and social distancing policy protocols
- Measures have been implemented to ensure physical distancing in public areas as locally regulated
- PPE (masks, gloves) and hand sanitizers are available at the front desk on request
- Key cards are disinfected after guests check out
- Guests can have their key card on their mobile device
Public areas
- Sanitizer dispensers are placed in the hotel and are regularly refilled.
- We fill disinfect hand washing gel into public rest rooms’ disperser
- The frequency of cleaning and disinfecting has been increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces
- Cleaning materials used in public areas are disinfectant with broad-spectrum antimicrobial, bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal activity
Guest rooms
- Cleaning and disinfection of guest room’s follows specific protocol with attention to high frequency touch points
- Cleaning materials used in guest rooms are disinfectant with broad-spectrum antimicrobial, bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal activity
- Bedding and towels are washed at least 60 C/140 F
Food & Beverage
- Buffet surfaces, tongs and ladles are cleansed and disinfected frequently
- Surfaces are sanitized between guests
